Careers drop in service for international students: “Working in the UK”

Each Tuesday morning from 10.30am – 12.30pm during July and August we will hold a “Working in the UK” drop in for international students in the Careers Building on Heslington West.

If you have any questions about how you can find suitable work, or need help to understand what vacancies would be suitable for sponsorship and how to find them, please call in.  You can come on your own or, if you have friends who have similar questions, come together as a small group.  It will be very informal – just a chance to sit down and get your questions answered.

You may not know if Tier 2 or Tier 5 is the best option for your career plans, or you may be finding it difficult to navigate the information online.  Are you able to work out which employers can sponsor and which vacancies meet the requirements for sponsorship under Tier 2 or Tier 5 routes?  You might want to ask about how you can deal with issues such as explaining to employers how they can recruit you, which options are best for your personal circumstances or how to deal with concerns from employers about the rules.

Whatever questions you have, come along for a chat and we will do our best to help.  You don’t need to book, just drop in. Starts Tuesday 4 July.

  1. hello there,
could you pls kindly advise the employers’ list that have the sponsor licence? I suppose there is a list that we could check, but I cannot find it right now. Many thanks.
