We know that many of you would really welcome the chance of getting some work experience in the UK before returning home. This is not possible using the Tier 2 visa because of the high salary requirements – but it might be possible under the Tier 5 Temporary Worker Government Authorised Exchange Scheme. This is more like a temporary post study work experience visa.
We’ve updated our online Tier 5 Toolkit to take you through the requirements of this visa step by step. The Toolkit (in the useful links section) is exclusive to University of York students and it includes sample letters and information for employers, as well as details of some of the most relevant overarching sponsor schemes.
